William and Catherine gave my father, William T. Murch, born out of wedlock, a home. In 1901 he was registered as a border; by 1911 he had been adopted (legally or just in name?)Sadly I accidently erased the photos I took of this headstone and that of her children when I was last visiting my family in North Devon.
